Anger Management
Clients will learn and be able to demonstrate anger management skills, including but not limited to:

Defining anger
-
Recognizing that anger is a secondary emotion and identifying primary emotions

Examining personal anger, including cues and triggers
-
Problem solving
-
Changing patterns and implementing positive behaviors
Batterers Intervention Program (BIP)
Clients will attend a 30 week program where they will be held accountable, challenge their beliefs, and learn new skills to help change their behavior, including but not limited to:

Learning about non-controlling behaviors
-
Challenging myths about domestic abuse

Drug and Alcohol Education
Clients will learn skills in areas of:

Identifying consequences of substance use
-
Identifying withdrawal symptoms​

Creating a sobriety plan
Parenting
Clients will learn basic parenting skills and given insight into their own parenting styles:
-
Defining parenting styles
-
Positive parenting techniques
-
Enforcing good self-esteem and modeling good behaviors
-
Consistency, discipline and setting limitations
-
Blended families

Why Try (Responsible Decision Making) for age 12-18
Clients will learn skills in areas of:
-
The program's goal is to help youth overcome challenges, improve relationships, and increase resilience.

The program provides hands-on strategies and resources to help motivate youth, support youth with trauma and hardships, and improve engagement in prosocial activities.

Benefits of this program is it can help prevent dropout and violence, reduce truancy, and increase academic success by teaching and modeling of critical social and emotional skill sets.
